SK Infinity World Media announced the release of their next album, 'RD Burman, The Digital Way', with instrumentals, digitally produced by Sandeep Khurana, as a tribute to the genius Bollywood music composer Rahul Dev Burman. The album comprises of instrumentals of some of Pancham's most soulful compositions, from Khushboo, Rocky, 1942 A Love Story, Teri Kasam, and theme/background music from Sholay, Deewar and Sagar. The album has an added instrumental version,of a song from Barood, with music composed by Shri Sachin Dev Burman.
Rahul Dev Burman (June 27, 1939 – January 4, 1994), commonly known as R. D. Burman and nicknamed Pancham da or Pancham by famous actor Ashok Kumar, was one of the most influential Bollywood music composers of all times. He was the son of singer and composer Sachin Dev Burman and is credited with bringing a revolution in the music industry in Hindi films, especially in 1970s, and his style continues to be followed by the composers of today.
The album 'RD Burman The Digital Way', is available for purchase on iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, Napster and all other major digital stores. The tracks have been produced using new age digital sounds to give a different 'New Age' feel to the music.
Talking about the album, Sandeep Khurana terms it as a very humble tribute to the great R. D. Burman, something he always wanted to do, as a mark of admiration, and as a tribute to the genius of R.D Burman.
