Leaders in office furniture, JS Online, are celebrating after implementing their largest ever project for Emap worth a staggering £1.2 million. The Partnership, which has so far reached over a ten-year period, began after JS first provided office furniture solutions for a number of small sites in London and the UK. In 2006, the team began preparing for Emaps high profile move to Greater London house, an Art Deco architectural and historical landmark, and it was decided that JS Online would be the firm entrusted with supplying complementary furniture that would fit in with the architecture of this phenomenal building.
Mike Johnson a director at the firm who provide office seating and desking, said, “We took the client and their architect to Prague to view and decide on the final design specification of the desking from the manufacturer PFD. The office seating was chosen from UK based manufacturer Connection who supplied all of the office seating and some of the Breakout Area Furniture. Each of the work stations offered, were provided with ancillaries including flat screens monitor arms and cable management from CBS. The project was a huge success and we are all extremely proud of our execution of it.”
The project, which began back in 2007, culminated with the move and integration of Emap’s London Operations and much to everyone’s delight, the right office furniture solutions were found through a mixture of research, overseas travel and continuous liaison between both parties.
Mr Johnson added, “This project was certainly our biggest yet, the project needed to be completed in a series of three phases, which lasted just twelve weeks and it involved merging three buildings to accommodate over 1200 people - which is a tall order for any firm! We hope that following on from the success of our largest protect to date, that we will be able to take on and execute many larger scale operations in the future.”
Darren Peacock, facilities manager at Emap, said, “This was a very important project for us and there was no room for slippage. Having worked with JS in the past we felt that they could give us the high level of service along with competitive pricing that was required. All phases were completed on time and within budget.”
