Lokesh intends to study the PreferenceScoring technology for three months in detail before re-launching it on the grayboxx.com website.
“Our goal when we purchased this business was to improve the customer experience by providing a cleaner layout and more features in line with expectations that web users have,” said Sandeep Chaudhary, Operational Manager of grayboxx.com. “Grayboxx is known for its unique search capabilities, but we intend to broaden its social features similar to Yelp.”
The company has been in business since 2005. It attracted significant press in Wired, CNet, Mashable and other media for its PreferenceScoring technology. In PreferenceScoring, grayboxx (http://www.grayboxx.com) analyzes licensed user data such as address books, and counts references to particular businesses to determine which businesses are the most popular.
“PreferenceScoring was important for the company initially. Going forward, we will make innovations in other arenas, especially in regards to social networking.
