Nelson began his career at Arthur Andersen, LLP, where he was responsible for planning and supervising the annual financial audits of various public and private companies as an audit manager, including the review and drafting of diverse SEC documents. Nelson has held key executive positions in the private sector, including regional chief financial officer at USI Southwest, a diversified insurance and financial services firm, controller at Isolagen Technologies, Inc., a biotechnology company, director of capital planning and budgeting at PGS Americas, Inc., a Norwegian oil field services company, and controller at Copano Field Services, LLC, a midstream oil and gas company. Nelson has been an audit partner focused on small and medium public companies since July 2007.
