Bill Bartmann Lecture Series – Part 12 – Bill Bartmann Talks about Building a Master-Mind Group

Students were fascinated with the concept of the master-mind group, originally developed and implemented by Napoleon Hill over 50 years ago

April 19, 2009 - PRLog -- Tulsa, OK – Bill Bartmann saved the Master-Mind talk for last in the series of lectures he recently gave for business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs.  Bartmann said, “Napoleon Hill’s concept of the master mind group has been proven to work for many serious entrepreneurs.  The idea is to surround yourself with people who know more than you so you can benefit from this collective intelligence as you rise to a whole new level in life and in business.”

One student asked, “What is the difference between a master mind group and an advisory board?”  Bill Bartmann anticipated this question as he has heard it from students in the past.  He answered, “The master-mind group is a smaller group consisting of 4 – 6 people who are focused on helping each other where the advisory board is a larger group who are only focused on your business.  The master mind group provides a reciprocal trade of knowledge.”

Bill Bartmann went on to explain, “It can be lonely at the top; you will welcome this group of people who you can relate to, network with and learn from.  Unlike your monthly, one hour meetings with your advisory board, you will meet with your master-mind group quarterly and the meetings will take place over two or three days for 6 – 8 hours each.”

Bill Bartmann explained how the group meets at a completely disconnected place, separate from their life and business.  “This will be sort of an enrichment retreat for all of you; after the meeting, you and your distinguished group can enjoy some recreation, play golf or have dinner, drinks and intelligent conversation.”

The students liked the idea of a master-mind group as Bill Bartmann pointed out the responsibilities and benefits, including sharpening skills while sharing business and personal experiences and knowledge; honesty and loyalty while providing advice and opinions; learning form each others’ shared experiences; a group to hold each other accountable; and valuable support provided by other business leaders who know what you don’t know.

Bill Bartmann concluded the lecture as he said, “The purpose of the master-mind group is to have the support of other individuals who are at your level in business who may be facing some of the same challenges you are.  The meetings are an opportunity to confide in others you can trust who will offer support and be discreet.  What is said at the master-mind meeting stays at the master-mind meeting.”

Bill Bartmann has quarterly meetings with his master-mind group of like minded people who come together to provide value and to gain value within a group.  Surround yourself with others who think like you do; who share similar interests as well as unique skills.  Read Bill Bartmann’s complete article about the Master-Mind Group at http://billbartmann.blogspot.com/2009/04/bill-bartmann-bu...
