Join a small Thrush named, "Youngen" and her owl friend, "Rufus" the main characters from author Maria J. Andrade's book, "Youngen Finds Her Song, An Inspiring Adventure From The Heart of Nature" for a fun filled day at the first Earth Day Celebration in Claremont, CA - April 26th noon - 5:00 pm!
The book, widely read in schools across the nation and around the world, contains lessons for children about self confidence, compassion, earth stewardship and hope. It will be on display at the Claremont Packing House location and will be on sale with 10% of all proceeds dedicated to, "The International Tree Society", a non-profit organization. Author will be available for book signings on location.
The event has been organized by Sustainable Claremont, the Claremont Interfaith Communities on Sustainability and the Claremont/Pedestrian Advisory Committee.
