According to Boynton, nurses and other leaders often face common management challenges such as employees who use passive-aggressive behaviors with colleagues. Boynton states, “rolling eyes, smirking or muttering negative comments can create tension and negativity in an already stressed environment. This makes it tough to collaborate effectively and can lead to catastrophic consequences for patients and staff.
