FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Apr 18, 2009 – Beth Boynton, RN, MS, a Nurse Consultant specializing in communication and conflict announced the first Conflict Coach Podcast entitled:  Walking on Eggshells:  A Case Involving Covert Abuse.  According to Boynton, nurses and other leaders often face common management challenges such as employees who use passive-aggressive behaviors with colleagues.  Boynton states, “rolling eyes, smirking or muttering negative comments can create tension and negativity in an already stressed environment.   This makes it tough to collaborate effectively and can lead to catastrophic consequences for patients and staff.

“Not only do these professionals need tools to help address toxic workplaces’, says Boynton, ‘they must be affordable, effective and efficient”.

“Professional coaching is an extremely effective way to help nurse leaders address this difficult problem, but it can cost hundreds of dollars and take up time that these professionals simply don’t have”, adds Boynton.   By highlighting common coaching suggestions based on a typical case story, Boynton’s audio provides healthcare leaders with insights and communication strategies that can be applied to similar situations.

Boynton claims that, “for a little over a half hour listening time and $25 this could be one of the most cost-effective contributions to healthcare reform!”  Boynton is currently working on additional podcasts to address controversial issues such as; aggressive conduct, unhealthy meal break patterns, and dealing with employees who are out sick frequently.   “I know that listening to a half hour podcast won’t solve entrenched patterns of behaviors by itself’, says the nurse consultant, ‘but it will help!””  To instantly download or find out more information: http://confidentvoices.com/confident_voices_._com/confli ...
