"Moon Beat" Nominated for REMI at 42nd WorldFest!

April 18, 2009 - PRLog -- HOUSTON, TX - "Moon Beat" the captivating Apollo XI documentary featuring top reporters and NASA officials from Director/Producer Kevin Stirling, has been nominated for the prestigious Remi Award in the documentary features category at the 42nd Annual WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival. A special Gala Awards dinner to announce the winner selections will be held in Houston, Texas on April 25th. Only four documentary films were chosen from hundreds of entries.

“Moon Beat” recalls the 1969 flight of Apollo XI on its 40th anniversary, from the perspective of many of the top news reporters who covered and wrote about the U.S. Space program for many years including: John Noble Wilford, New York Times, Al Neuharth, Founder, USA Today and Florida Today, Reg Turnill, BBC Aerospace Correspondent and Joe Morgenstern, Film Critic, The Wall Street Journal and many others. In addition, the documentary features interviews with senior NASA officials including Jack W. King, (Voice of Apollo) who is best remembered for his exhilarating Apollo launch countdowns by millions of Apollo enthusiasts and NASA supporters around the world.
