Charleston SC Executive Receives International Appointment

April 17, 2009 - PRLog -- DANIEL ISLAND, SC, - Russell Long, President of Change Innovations, LLC, has been appointed to the Credentialing Leadership Group of the International Coach Federation (ICF). He is one of only 15 certified executive and personal coaches in the world to receive this prestigious appointment. His group is charged with creating a credentialing process that meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards for individual coaches around the world.

Mr. Long stated, “This appointment comes at a critical time of raising the standard that professional coaches must demonstrate for their certification to assure the high quality of their work around the world. I am honored to be chosen to play a role.” Mr. Long has recently completed ICF roles as Chair of their international Membership Committee and their Research Committee. He has been a selected speaker at ICF annual conferences in Stressa, Italy; Sydney, Australia and the US. Mr. Long has attained their highest credential, Master Certified Coach, held by only 5% of their membership.

The International Coach Federation (ICF) is the oldest and largest organization that awards accreditation to academic programs and certifications to professional coaches. Its membership tops 16,000 professional coaches internationally.

Mr. Long’s consulting and executive coaching company, Change Innovations, works with individual executives, business owners and professionals as well as Boards, executive committees and organizations. He is a native Charlestonian; graduate of The Citadel, Medical College of Virginia and St. Francis University with Masters in Business Administration and Masters in Healthcare Administration. Mr. Long is the immediate Past President of the Daniel Island Rotary Club and is a member of the Charleston Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and the Daniel Island Business Association.
