Sterling Custom Homes won the coveted People’s Choice Award for their 2008 HBA Parade Home in Rough Hollow. Voted by Parade attendees, Sterling has won this award in the last five Parade of Homes and Showcase events in which they have participated.
“Our attention to design and finish-out has been the key to our ability to win this prestigious award so many times in a row,” claims Duke McDowell, President of Sterling Custom Homes Inc. “It is gratifying to gain this recognition from so many event attendees throughout the years. It’s truly rewarding for me and my team as we spend countless hours preparing for these events.”
Sterling Custom Homes (http://www.sterlinghome.com) worked with Steve Todd of the Austin Design Group to create this spectacular home. Their goal was to capture the view of Rough Hollow, the main body of Lake Travis and the distant Hill Country. The design incorporated two 16’ disappearing glass walls – opening the home up from the Front Courtyard, through the Great Room, to the Outdoor Living and spectacular Pool in back.
McDowell adds, “Having built custom homes in this area for over 19 years, we enjoyed the opportunity to showcase our experience in an HBA Parade of Homes like the one we just completed in Rough Hollow. This has been a great opportunity for the general public to see the latest in home products and home design.”
