Apr 16, 2009 – RALEIGH, N.C. – Kristine Mayberry, president of Second Chance Pet Adoptions (www.secondchancenc.org/) , has announced that the organization is hosting an open house on Saturday, May 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its Adoption Center, located at 6003 Chapel Hill Road. The open house is being held in honor of Second Chance’s 20th anniversary of helping stray cats and dogs in the Triangle and will include face painting, food, a bake sale and dog demonstrations. Microchipping for pets will also be available from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Stormy, mascot of the Carolina Hurricanes, will also be at the event.
