"Over the past 9 years we have grown into one of the largest UK based overseas property portals and we have grand plans to become even more significant in the coming years. Lately we have seen a massive rise in competition within the overseas property market."
He later added "New players are entering the industry with comparable websites, and as we hadn't made any visual or functional changes to the website for 4 years, we decided it was time for a face-lift."
Web designer Jamie Arthur of Property Webmasters.com commented on what he had in mind when designing the site:
"Well to put it in basic terms; our number one priority was that the site had to be user friendly. We also had to consider every aspect of a users experience on the website as well as all business related requirements such as revenue and search engine placements. Les asked for a site that was as simple and easy to navigate as the old one, but as easy on the eye as anything on the web. He and I agree that this is what he has got."
Web development programmer Matthew Bonner commented on the work he and John Dickson did on the back end, improving the search algorithms etc:
"The main job was bringing the coding up to current web standards, and to implement added functionality to the website for both of our user groups. Users will now find a whole host of extra functionality to improve their experience, and their searches will bring up more relevant results more quickly."
