Follow on Google News | The Corkscrew Diary Courts International DistributionA corner has been turned, from concept to creation, acceptance to adulation - the long awaited negotiations for foreign network markets has begun.
By: Jeffry Gordon The Corkscrew Diary has been the passion of Miss Gee for the last three years, one that combines her love of wine and food with travel. Her team of associates have provided worldwide recognition for her efforts from the humble beginnings in Nashville, Tennessee. "I love the journey, the people, and the qualities of life that are shared amongst friends, old and new, in communion with the wines of our time. I find particular joy in sharing a vintage with a winemaker in the cellar of the estate on which the juices were brought to life". There is, however, a serious side to this vivacious woman of wine. In the recent days, Miss Gee and her team have offered-up through their series of multi-media efforts content representative of social awareness with regards to wine, its use and abuse. Two webisodes baring the titles of "Wine and Gasoline" and "Unsavory Pairing" enliven the topics of drunk driving and fetal alcohol syndrome. "Sadly, you cannot have all of the sunshine and flowers without making known the dangers of irresponsibility" A native of Namibia, Miss Gee has found her way to Music City and in turn the world of wine by a road less traveled. A childhood far away from the posh pretense of many of the vineyards who now open wide their cellar doors, makes Deborah aware of many real world nuances that help to diffuse the stuffy, snobby 'swirl, sniff, sip and spit' illusions surrounding wine. Deborah is each of us - one who enjoys wine because it tastes good with the meals and hospitality she is known for. The negotiations of international distribution are strong and timely. Thirteen episodes of The Corkscrew Diary have recently been completed featuring multiple destinations across the United States, Canada and South Africa. International markets will provide the catalyst necessary to help fashion the iconic model necessary to break into the lifestyle media ranks that exist in the US. Season two promises to be even more exciting and fresh for the US market. Pre-production is underway for destinations in Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Thailand and Israel... how's that for a whole wine world of fun? The frenzy of activity around The Corkscrew Diary continues to swirl. "The time is now," says Miss Gee. And, one last thing, "remember life is too short, always drink good wine!" Cheers! # # # A half-hour, made for television global travelogue about wine and food hosted by Deborah Gee, The Toasted Hostess. End
