The club has almost 100 registered members who compete in cycling and triathlon events throughout Florida and around the country. The mission of the club is to promote awareness, advocacy and safety about cycling and bicycling for both competitive and recreational cyclists. The club promotes charity events and hosts a number of organized training and fitness rides for cyclists of all ages and levels.

Recent statistics show that Florida has the high rate of cyclist deaths in the country. In 2004, 122 cycling accidents resulted in a fatality. In that same year in Brevard County, there were 141 accidents that involved cyclists or people on bikes, and one was a fatal accident.
