Barry Cowsill “US1” album ships to radio; CD Release Party scheduled in New Orleans

April 15, 2009 - PRLog -- Monterey, California based Artist Airplay Advisors, a radio promotion service for Labels and DIY artists, has announced the promotional release of Barry Cowsill “US1.” The CD was sent to Triple-A format radio stations that report to the Radio & Records (R&R) and Friday Morning Quarterback (FMQB) airplay charts. The Barry Cowsill family further announced the official CD Release Party to be held in New Orleans on Saturday evening, May 16, at the newly refurbished Rock n’ Bowl music venue (http://www.rockandbowl.com).

Barry Cowsill “US1” includes all the recordings that he had just finished before his untimely death in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Peter Holsapple of the dBs and REM’s touring band described his impressions of the Barry Cowsill solo recordings as having “the soul and intensity of Neil Young and Keith Richards.” Danny Preston, Music Director at KNBA FM further defines the 13 songs on the “US1” recording as "Solid blues-rock, contemporary and timely."
