The total tourist arrivals to the country are forecasted to reach around 5 Million by 2010.

To further boost the number of tourists, the government has recently given a green signal to the Chinese tourists who hold passports to travel to Vietnam after three years of postponement. Government of Vietnam is also opening various sea tourism routes linking with China.
