April 14, 2009 - PRLog -- During the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, John Glenn, an award-winning photo journalist will be exhibiting limited edition photography Friday, April 24 – Sunday, May 3, 2009 in the lobby of the International House Hotel, 221 Camp Street.  A portion of sales at the event will support New Orleans Musician’s Clinic.

The New Orleans Musicians' Clinic has been one of the most important assets to the musical community since 1998. Besides health screenings, the clinic offers free lab work and blood tests, charging a mere $8 for all prescriptions, and offers matching dental funds. NOMC has put more than $200,000 directly into musicians' hands since Katrina and, through their Summer Solace program, is currently awarding funds to nonprofits, nursing homes and churches with the stipulation that all funds received be spent hiring our musicians.

Over the past 19 years, John has been a fly-on-the-wall, or stage, at the festival - an exuberant musical feast featuring 12 stages, all simultaneously alive with music, ranging from blues to jazz to gospel to world, folk, rap and rock.  Since his first foray into the fest as a staff-photographer for USA Today, he has captured greats from the late Betty Carter, Ernie k-Doe, Snooks Eaglin, Eddie Bo and Gatemouth Brown, to Wynton Marsalis the Preservation Hall Jazz Band (which played at the first fest in 1970), Miles Davis, Sting, Rosie Ledet, Marcia Ball, Willie Nelson, Robert Plant, Abbey Lincoln and Bruce Springsteen. The list goes on forever.

John Glenn is a commercial photographer and photojournalist based in Atlanta, Georgia. He is one of the most versatile, innovative and forward thinking photojournalists in America’s news and entertainment industries. Glenn has a rich background in location and in-studio photography, newsroom management, editorial leadership and online production.  Well known and well respected, his over two decades long photo career.  His work portrait photograph, event photography and commercial photography can be viewed and purchased at http://www.jglennphoto.com.  For more information contact John Glenn at john@jglennphoto.com or 678-984-1027.
