Los Angeles, CA - Join the Children’s Nature Institute and Faith 2 Green on May 17, 2009 as they present “Kid’s ROCK:Music and Nature Festival“ featuring critically acclaimed artist Tom Freund and popular fitness group "The Activators" from My Gym (C). The event will combine the perennial favorite CNI Nature Festival with an afternoon of music, picnics and hands-on crafts at the historic Old Zoo picnic area at Griffith Park. Ticket prices start at just $15 per person. “Kid’s ROCK” will offer a unique opportunity for parents and children to interact with one another and learn about Nature in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Tom Freund will be performing songs from his children’s music release “Hug Trees”, of which Freund says the theme is “getting children involved with their environment and to enjoy nature.” Also performing will be local duo Renee & Jeremy of Los Angeles, playing music from their children’s album, “It’s a Big World.” To add even more excitement to the event, the Children’s Nature Institute will add elements of its famous “Nature Festival,” traditionally held in Temescal Gateway Park, to the afternoon event; offering crafts, exhibits, live animals and face painting.
