PRLog - April 14, 2009 - CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Since its debut, the Abbott Library Bed collection has been taking the Murphy bed industry by storm. Though the Abbott is not the first Library Murphy bed on the market, it may just be the first to seamlessly combine both unparallel style and dynamic functionality.
Abbott Library Bed
Old Creek’s designers and engineers collectively joined efforts to create a truly breath-taking Library bed. The goal behind the Abbott was to provide a product that offered consumers a chance to have a striking library centerpiece, but at the same time maintaining the utility of a quality, handcrafted Murphy bed. The Abbott is the ultimate option for consumers interested in adding chic sophistication to their home library.
The Abbott blends function and style effortlessly. Old Creek engineers optimized a roller track system to allow the center two bookcases to move horizontally requiring little to no effort on the part of the user. The objective of the roller track system in place is to allow for a seamless transition from fully shelved bookcases to an easy to operate Murphy bed. The Abbott Library bed also employs an air-piston mechanism to operate the Murphy bed, which is concealed between the bookcases. This mechanism will provide effortless operation of the Murphy bed for years to come.
The Abbott Collection has been designed to fit seamlessly with Old Creek’s family of desk and bookcase styles. The Abbott is constructed using FSC-certified harvested woods and has earned LEED credits.
