Follow on Google News | Fourth Annual Wine, Women, Wow Expands to ShoWare Center: May 8 (6 - 10 pm)Kent Downtown Partnership (KDP) and dozens of Kent, Washington businesses are proud to present Wine, Women, Wow, an annual nonprofit event for women.
By: Libby Seidel With a focus on shopping, socializing and pampering, Wine, Women, Wow will feature wine from Olympic Cellars Winery, food donated from local restaurants, more than 50 women-owned businesses, spa services, and more. Among this year’s vendors are Punjab Sweets, Tom Boy Tools, NW Electrology and Make-up, The Icing Boutique, Cypriana, Cheryl’s Unique Boutique, Rainy Day Treasures, Silpada Designs, Sensaria Natural Bodycare, Iam Daboss, Cottage Care, Dove Chocolate Discoveries and more. In previous years, Wine, Women, Wow has been hosted by Green River Community College. However, as interest in the event has grown, a larger venue was needed. This year’s event chair Libby Seidel decided to hold the event at the new ShoWare Center to give more vendors an opportunity to participate and for attendees to see the new facility. “We thought the timing was right for a move, but we wanted to keep the event in Kent so we can continue to support local businesses,” Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Kent Downtown Partnership and the YWCA’s Domestic Violence program. Advance tickets are available now in Kent for $21 at KDP (202 W. Gowe Street) Earthworks Gem Design Studio (235 First Avenue S.) and ShoWare Center (625 W. James St.). Tickets sold the night of the event are $26. Attendees must be 21 or older (ID required). This year’s event is sponsored by ShoWare Center, All Pro Building Maintenance, Earthworks Gem Design Studio, Heartbeat Yoga and Healing Arts, Olympic Cellars Winery, Curran Law Firm, Judy Woods, Holland America Cruise Line and Catalyst Travel, Renaissance Yarns, Teresa Clark and Silpada Designs, MultiCare Health System, Dave & Libby Seidel, Virtually Yourz, Kent Reporter, Tents and Events and Kent Oxygen Co.
