UKBooker, the best guide for hotels in the United Kingdom, is looking forward to a better time for the UK hotel industry.
Most British hotels have cut their prices. Hotel rates in London have dropped by 24%, in Manchester prices have also fallen as far, falling by 24% too. Glasgow’s hotel industry is also cutting the prices and dropped them by 23 %.

Hotel rooms in most cities in the United Kingdom are getting cheaper and cheaper, and statistics only confirm it. If in February 2008 the visitor to London paid an average of 145 pounds per room, in February 2009 this number fell to 110 pounds.  It is the first significant hotel price fall in the last four years!

“British travellers can save lots of money at home and many foreigners can do the same by coming to the United Kingdom now” says the brand manager of UKBooker about the advantages of the current situation.

The fall in hotel prices relates not only to the current economic climate but also to Sterling which is a lot weaker now. That is why all foreigners who have visited Britain in the last 3 years would find it a lot cheaper, especially Europeans as the Euro grew against Sterling about 40 percent during the last year.

This makes hoteliers happier as more tourists are going to come to United Kingdom in the nearest future.
UKBooker is also optimistic about the future of the British tourism industry. The struggling pound is helping the hotel and travel industry of the UK to leap out of the hole.

“The United Kingdom looks more attractive for foreign visitors right now” says the brand manager of UKBooker, mentioning why tourists will come and spend their money in UK.

There are more people on the UKBooker site searching for accommodation in the United Kingdom, particularly in Edinburgh, Glasgow http://www.ukbooker.co.uk/glasgow.html, Belfast, London and Dublin. The average amount of people who are interested in travelling to the UK has increased by 30 %, and from European countries by 45 percent!!!
