The PT56XX series are part of another of PTC’s key product areas. The PT5611 and PT5631 are Dimming Ballast Controller ICs which implement closed-loop phase control and provide preheat condition setting to support a high degree of flexibility. The PT5621 is a 3-way Dimming CFL Controller IC for 3-way switch dimming products. The PT5622 is a CFL Ballast Controller IC for 3-step (on-off) dimming products. Both ICs implement closed-loop current feedback control while supporting accurate switching and oscillation frequencies. The PT56XX series is offered in either DIP16 or SOP16 package types.
PTC’s LED Lighting ICs (the PT6901/ PT6903/ PT6904) and LED Backlight Driver ICs (the PT6904) have the advantages of multiple protection schemes and high efficiency. In addition, each member of the series provides accurate luminance control which helps to both lower cost and simplify design. The PT69XX series may be applied to DC/DC or AC/DC LED devices, constant current lighting and decorative lighting applications. The PT6904 may also be used for LED backlighting.
