The Boulder Business and Professional Women (BPW) invites the public to the annual Young Careerist Celebration and Networking Night which highlights and celebrates the achievements of successful young women. The public portion of the YC Program takes place on April 16, 2009 between 5:30-8pm at A Spice of Life Event Center at 5706 Arapahoe Road in Boulder. A silent auction will be held. Ida Halasz of Halvan Associates, Jerry Lewis formerly publisher/editor of the Boulder County Business Report, and Phyliss Postlewait of Merrill Lynch, will serve on a panel to judges the Young Careerist competition. The Program. Hear five Young Careerists’ inspiring speeches. Participate in a networking exercise and meet others who can help your business (bring lots of business cards)! Bid on silent auction items and raise funds to support women’s economic self-sufficiency. Enjoy good food and fellowship! Participate in the Boulder BPW meeting and learn how you can help yourself and working women.
Judging is based on the Young Careerist representative’
Dr. Ida Halasz is a former Boulder BPW Board Member and Colorado BPW Foundation Board Vice President. She is an executive assessor and executive coach for the Federal government as well as a marketing researcher through her company, Halvan Associates.
Jerry W. Lewis, a 35-year veteran Colorado journalist, is the former publisher/editor of the Boulder County Business Report and continues as a contributing columnist to the newspaper. He is a past Boulder BPW Man of the Year.
Phyllis Postlewait, a past -president of Business and Professional Women, is a Vice-President, Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch. She is part of a private advisor team that provides wealth management for families specializing in Retirement Income and Life Transition Solutions.
