Canton, MI – It never fails; the first nice day of the season, motor cycles come out for a ride. Bikers look forward to this all winter long. Some ride just for the enjoyment; others put the cars away and save money by commuting to work on their bike. Others belong to a club, take part in racing events or perform stunts to thrill the spectators.
In any event, the motor cycles require maintenance, tune-ups and sprucing up to prepare for the season. Most amateur and professional, local and national, motor cycle racing events are well under-way as planning and event coordinating begins.
A lot of these events have certain requirements that apply to riders and their motorcycles. Scott Pazzo, of Poduim Super Bikes, an online parts store said, “Some racing categories have tighter regulations than others, for example, supersport racing involves modified production motorcycles requiring a four-stroke engine of 400-600cc for four-cylinder bikes and 600-750 for twins. There are other requirements as well. We carry a wide variety of parts for modifying bikes to meet the specifications required.”
Motor cycles need to be in good shape as some endurance events really test the bike as well as the rider as they speed around sharp turns and go over jumps. All parts, including the engine and the tires are worked as races are conducted on a variety of terrains, including tarmac, grass, gravel, sand, concrete and more.
