Methos Consulting is delighted to announce the availability of WebTMC, the latest element of our Telemetry, Monitor & Control family for Vehicle Tracking and "Machine to Machine" (M2M) collaboration.
The application provides the functionality to serve web pages with data coming from the whole range of Owasys systems and it is a fundamental part of our "machine to machine" interaction architecture.
It is fully integrated in our TMC (Telemetry, Monitor&Control)
Data are collected from an Oracle database. The server collects it and updates in real time the web pages of the workstations connected from the Internet.
We decided to develop our own web server, instead of going for others already available, because of the necessity of having the smallest possible usage of resources while having a native connection to an Oracle database, giving accessibility of the technical data to the widest possible audience.
WebTMC is perfectly scalable, as it can be deployed on computers starting from very low-specifications. The size of the database and the number of simultaneous connections needed determine the best configuration for the deployment system.
WebTMC can be executed on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.2 and all compatible clones. It has also been tested and it can also be deployed on a VMware virtual machine containing one of the indicated Linux distributions.
