The film stars Carl T. Evans (Frame of Mind, Walking on the Sky), Elizabeth Schmidt (As the World Turns), Vedette Lim (As the World Turns, The Sunset Sky), Laura Bach (Zombie Strippers!, The Slaughter) and Scott Laska. “I wanted to use unknown actors who would give the film a fresh feel,” said Lammey, who cast the film in New York City before shooting it on 16mm over 20 days at his parents’ home in rural Chester County, Pennsylvania. “It’s remote there, so I knew that I could get good, clean sound – which was important, because the film has a lot of conversation,”
A graduate of Virginia Tech, Lammey previously worked on various Philadelphia-
Daniel Watchulonis (The 4th Dimension, Universal Signs) of Dallas, Pennsylvania served as the film’s director of photography, and Lammey’s Twin Valley High School pal Malachi McGlone, now of Los Angeles, was co-producer and creative consultant. The film’s well-placed music is supplied by ten original Philly-area bands/artists, including Pawnshop Roses, Oregon Ave., the Dead 50s, Spider Rico and Overlook.
Lammey is pleased with Kicking the Dog’s national video distribution, and is anxious to create more films. “I just want to make people laugh,” he says.
