Excursions, a half-hour TV show aired nationally to more than 60 million homes, is heading to the capital.
The popular travel show is visiting the Washington D.C./Baltimore area to scout locations for its Best of series. The show will focus on the most prominent and interesting destinations in and around the nation’s capital.
“Washington D.C. and Baltimore continue to thrive, even in these difficult times,” says Chris Willis of 463Media, location scouts for the Excursions TV show. “There isn’t anything you can’t find in these cities, from world-class museums, restaurants and hotels to kid-friendly attractions.
Filming will take place through April for the episode, which airs this summer across the nation as well as locally in the D.C./Baltimore area.
“We look for destinations that offer something original,” Willis says. “Spas, hotels, family attractions, weekend getaways. Are you just off the beaten path but on the right course?”
Willis says his associate producers will be scouting locations in city for the next three weeks, then changing their focus to the next city in the Best of series. But he isn’t saying where that will be.
“You’ll have to stay tuned to find out,” he says. “But if you run the kind of place that stands out in a crowd, don’t be too surprised if we come knocking at your door.”
