New York, NY -- New York City Emcee E-SHY, who was named Source Magazine’s Unsigned Hype last year, has officially signed to Indy label Kosha Nostra Records for a 3 Album & 3 Hip-Hopera deal. The arrangement is unique in that it includes the world’s first Hip Hopera production (Hip Hopera is a HipHop Opera/Musical for Broadway).

Kosha Nostra plans to roll out E-SHY’s records with a new media focus including a video for every song, multiple viral clips and a heavy digital emphasis on P2P distribution. P2P promotion will be done through Brand Asset Digital’s P2Pwords™ platform which provides the most detailed data available on who is downloading and where the music is being downloaded.
E-SHY has already begun working on the first Hip-Hopera, a story told exclusively thru rap verse, entitled THE KOSHA NOSTRA. The story line is akin to "Mamma Mia meets the Godfather / Once Upon a Time in America” all told with HIpHop classics". “What The Who’s Tommy was to Rock Opera is what The Kosha Nostra will be to Hip Hopera” said Joey P.. “It never been done before for Hip-Hop and E-SHY is the talent to make this happen".
E-SHY along with DJ KAYSLAY released THE WHY SO SERIOUS Mixtape last fall as a tribute to Batman’s The Joker. The Mixtape was downloaded over 150,000 times across P2P and online blogs as well as moving more than 20,000 units in all major markets across the United States, Great Britain and Japan.
