The Green Leadership award recognizes and celebrates New Jersey's businesses for their environmental achievements and initiatives. Valerie Mason-Robinson, as the CEO and Founder, is recognized as a leader in the green community and was nominated as a leader in “green education”. Through Eden Organix, Valerie has partnered with non-for-profits that help the environment, women, and children. Valerie hopes that the “Green Leadership Award” will bring not only awareness but action. Valerie says, “ we can’t just be a community of people with ideas, but we must take steps to take advantage of the “green initiatives”
NJ Biz’s Green Leadership Awards is the inaugural event for business leaders who have made a commitment to the environment in the state of New Jersey.The Green Leadership awards will recognize and celebrate New Jersey's businesses for their environmental achievements and initiatives. The finalists are being recognized for their commitment to energy conservation, green education, environmental innovation, green building, pollution prevention, recycle/reuse, and alternative energy.
An independent panel of industry professionals will judge the nominations and select the finalists in each of the eight categories. Finalists will be recognized and the winners in each category will be announced during a luncheon awards ceremony at The Palace at Somerset Park, Somerset, NJ on June 2, 2009 from 12:00pm-2:00pm.
