Jo Shepherd Ripley is finally bringing the long awaited Jolly the Elf story to book form. Written approximately 45 years ago for her oldest daughter, Dee. Jolly unwittingly started a tradition that has spread across the Country and across the Pond. Every year, people contact Jo about how to get the story and where to buy the elf. Jo has done her level best to fulfill every request, but now she is making it a lot easier.
The Jolly tradition is amazing. Some people hear the story through their own family and never know from where it came. Some have even written stories based on Jolly. “We are thrilled to finally have the opportunity to bring Jolly the Elf, the story that started it all, to families everywhere,”
The book Jolly the Elf will be available in soft copy by the second week of April, and may be purchased through Jo’s Website – www.jollytheelf.com. Jolly himself will be available in the upcoming months. You may advance order Jolly as well as the hardcover version of Jolly the Elf through www.jollytheelf.com.
Jo Shepherd Ripley lives and works in her home in Springboro, Ohio with her husband, Richard Ripley. Jo has written a number of children’s books, but Jolly is the first of them to be published. Jo is also an accomplished artist. You may view samplings of her “Story Paintings” at www.thinkyoungproductions.com. Please stay tuned for upcoming news and events where you may meet Jo herself.
