April 8, 2009 - PRLog -- Imus in the Morning is moving from WYAY-FM True Oldies 106.7 to Newstalk 1160 “The Talk of the Town” WCFO-AM, Atlanta’s News Talk Radio, beginning April 13th from 6:00am-10:00am.

Jeff Davis, Vice President and General Manager of WCFO-AM said, “When you think of talk radio, you think of Imus. So many people who grew up with Imus now live in Atlanta and having his program back in talk radio will fill the void in their mornings.”  WYAY has agreed to promote this changeover for two weeks so listeners will be able to find the I-man in Atlanta.

Don Imus, a 30+ year radio legend is currently heard on over 50 stations across the country.  Provocative, humorous and informative, the Imus in the Morning program has been entertaining millions of listeners in New York and across the country for over 30 years. The show can be heard Monday-Friday 6:00am-10:00am on Newstalk 1160 and is also syndicated to over 20 radio stations nationally via the ABC Radio Network. The show is also simulcast daily on RFD-TV from 6am-9am, reaching a large nationwide cable audience.

Don Imus leads a multi-talented cast of characters led by Newsman and sidekick Charles McCord, Co-host, Karith Foster, Sportscaster Tony Powell and Executive Producer Bernard McGuirk.  The Imus in the Morning show is one of the most influential and entertaining talk shows in America.

Listeners who tune-in to Newstalk 1160 will be welcomed by a schedule full of critically-acclaimed and award-winning hosts from across the country. Beginning Monday, April 13th listeners can look forward to the following weekday line-up:

Imus in the Morning:  6am – 10am

Imus in the Morning offers a mix of current affairs, politics, entertainment and sports. Laura Ingraham: 10am – 1pm

Jerry Doyle: 1pm – 3pm

Dennis Miller: 11pm – 1am

Miller is an entertainer who understands politics and current affairs. He will bring a fresh perspective and new vigor to Newstalk that listeners will appreciate.
