April 8, 2009 - PRLog -- ATLANTA, GEORGIA (TWS PR FIRM)– Continuing to grow each year, the Georgia BIG PICTURE Conference (GABPC) www.gabpc.com is returning to Atlanta in collaboration with the Atlanta Film Festival on April 17-19, 2009!

The Georgia BIG PICTURE Conference (GABPC) consists of three days of workshops, panel discussions, and seminars on topics of basic training and professional development for students and newcomers to the film and video production industry in Georgia.  This year's conference will include our signature Directors Boot Camp, as well as educational sessions ranging from industry networking, Production Assistant (P.A.) training and editing, to film entrepreneurism and Web and electronic marketing and distribution.


This year, our confirmed guest speakers are virtually from every media outlet. Chris Moore (LivePlanet) has produced award-winning movies that both influenced pop-culture and launched the careers of Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. Moore produced Good Will Hunting, which grossed over $1.38 Million, Project Greenlight and the American Pie movie trilogy. Other speakers include: Melissa Goodman (SAG/AFTRA) executive director of SAG/AFTRA, Meena Payne (Rainforest Films) the Development Director whose contributions led to the theatrical release of Stomp the Yard, Suzan Satterfield (SaltRun Productions) whose production company has produced projects for ABC News, NBC News, Dateline, CNN International, The Travel Channel, Turner Broadcasting and many others. The conference’s signature Director’s Boot Camp will be led by Ken Feinberg (Creative Studios of Atlanta) award-winning filmmaker and actor who has been featured in television’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Alias, Charmed, STAR TREK’S Enterprise and is the founder and CEO of Creative Studios of Atlanta., Amani Channel (Visual Eye Media) who has excelled for 15 years in television and radio, with content featured on CNN, Headline News, Associate Press Television Network, Fox News Channel, BET, and HDNews, will also be a presenter. “We’re pleased to announce our partnership with ATL 365 to make the Atlanta Film Festival available to 2009 GABPC attendees at a discounted rate,” says Nancy B. Howard, the GABPC Executive Producer and Founder.


“We're also pleased to present the BIG PICTURE AWARDS, where we recognize the contributions of Georgia educators in film, television, and theatre.”  Previous award winners include Nate Kohn (University of Georgia), Bob Harter and Della Cole (Sketchworks Theatre), and Tyler Perry of Tyler Perry Studios.  The GABPC also accept nominations to award one high school instructor, one college professor and one or more industry professionals.
