La Famiglia Magazine, a new & unique art, music and culture magazine, is preparing to introduce itself to the world. It focuses on a diverse range of global topics ranging from street art to acrylic on canvas, hip-hop to electronic music, and cultural movements from around the world. Each issue is assembled with the intent that the material will be relevant for years to come. The magazine consists of in-depth interviews, art features, and light editorial pieces that pay respect to the people that have inspired and changed the way we hear and see the world today, and it’s free.
The first couple issues include features and interviews with Bay Area hip-hop icon Del the Funky Homosapien, Capetown based female artist and activist Faith 47, legendary photographer Glen Friedman, French street artist Blek Le Rat, turntablist Kid Koala, artist Matt Gordon, and many more. La Famiglia Magazine will be made available worldwide for no cost in two interactive digital versions via the web while maintaining the attitude and presence of a traditional print magazine.
La Famiglia is representative of the people and movements that inspire and change the world. It explores the bond between people and expression, ways of life, and the need for unity in order to move forward. La Famiglia is dedicated to enriching our community with knowledge and inspiration to achieve positive change within our community, the arts, and our way of life — to preserve the past, inspire the current, and change the future.
“I wanted to take some of the things in life that I found beauty and inspiration in and create something that I could pass along to others with the hope that someday someone might find inspiration within the stories told by the ones that have made us think, sing, dance, and believe.” - Adam Marshall (Founder of La Famiglia)
La Famiglia Magazine will be available internationally through La Famiglia’s website in an interactive flash flipping-book version to read online or in a downloadable PDF version. The PDF version will also be available through a number of affiliate company’s websites. La Famiglia is due to launch in July of 2009.

La Famiglia encourages new artists, musicians, and entrepreneurs to reach out and submit material. Even though La Famiglia Magazine is focused on archiving the history and stories of the foundation and history of the arts and culture, La Famiglia’s website will always be dedicated to supporting independent up-and-coming artists as well as informing people about current international news and issues.
