The Potters’ Guild of New Jersey will host its annual spring sale of functional and sculptural ceramics at the Community Presbyterian Church, at 1459 Deer Path in Mountainside (corner of Deer Path and Meeting House Lane) on Saturday, April 18 from 11am to 5pm and Sunday, April 19 from 12pm to 5pm. Admission is free and credit cards are accepted for all sales. This increasingly popular event draws hundreds of customers from throughout northern and central New Jersey and even out of state. The show is the perfect place to find a unique Mothers’ Day gift or a special item or present for any occasion.
There will be several potters from the area exhibiting their work this season. Judy Musicant has new teapots and casseroles that are sure to please. Carla Horowitz’s gorgeous leaf plates are an inevitable sell-out at every show. Nancy Zarbock’s large platters, in both raku style and strikingly glazed and decorated with floral and figurative themes, are perfect for any style of décor and are perennial favorites.
Available for sale will be a fabulous selection of vases, wall pieces, pitchers, teapots, platters, casseroles, raku and pit-fired vessels in varying colors and styles, and one-of-a-kind sculptures and decorative objects of art.
For directions to the show, see the Guild website at www.PottersGuildNJ.org. or call Judy Musicant at 908-233-1633.
