MOMS Pharmacy and the Recycled AIDS Medicine Program (RAMP) will launch their partnership to collect HIV medications, which will be distributed overseas to developing countries. The community is invited to the opening event on Saturday, April 18th from 8-am-2pm on the corner of 18th and Castro Street. The new location, MOMS Pharmacy, is located at 4071 18th Street at Market Street in San Francisco.
For many years RAMP’s collection sites in the Castro District of San Francisco and in the greater Bay Area provide HIV medications for established organizations overseas that work with doctors who prescribe medicines for individual patients.
In some instances the collected medicines are provided to patients on a temporary basis until they are eligible to receive government assistance. In other instances, in collaboration with other groups, RAMP may be the only source of medications where government assistance is not available.
All medications are provided free of charge. Individuals may be asked by their organization to pay a nominal fee, but no individual is denied access if they are unable to pay. RAMP does not prescribe medications for specific patients or decide who will receive treatment.

MOMS Pharmacy accepts HIV medication donations for RAMP on weekdays from 9:30 am till 6pm and on Saturdays from 10am till 2pm. For additional drop off locations, visit RAMP’s website at www.rampusa.org.
