What is Kickstartz?
KickStartz is an intense 3 day event bringing techies, designers, marketers, and business folks together to create businesses, projects, and work through their ideas!
What is a KickStartz weekend like?
The weekend is part zen, part rock concert, and 100% fun! It starts Friday night at 6pm and ends Sunday at 6pm, the hours in between are up to the attendees. KickStartz provides facilities, food, and a T-shirt. After that, its really up to the attendees, their drive and ambition to get things done.
What is on the agenda?
The only agenda is when we will have guest speakers and when the food will be available. Other than that, the agenda is entirely up to the attendees.
Do you really expect to launch businesses in a weekend?
Yes that is the premise of the event, although it truly depends on the attendees, their ideas, motivation, and team collaboration. In fact the general goal is to launch between 5 and 10 businesses during a KickStartz weekend.
What about details like legal, ownership, members etc?
The team members working on the products will determine these issues during the weekend.
What happens once the weekend ends?
Hopefully you'll walk away with a number of new friends and contacts. In addition, we hope that you continue to work with your teams on your business ideas and make them successful.
Should I be worried about people taking my ideas?
The idea of these events is to get business ideas to market. We assume you are attending to do just that. However, if you have an idea you are worried about being stolen, its best to keep it to yourself.
Who Runs KickStartz?
KickStartz is run by the community supporting entrepreneurship. Every weekend has a facilitator that is approved by KickStartz.
Is KickStartz a Company?
