April 6, 2009 - PRLog -- Kayla is a beautiful young woman living in Phoenix, Arizona.

Recently heartbroken, Kayla begins to question her recurring visions and nightmares about ancient Egypt.  They seem quite real and Kayla is confused as to what they mean.  Then, she meets an Italian man, Paolo, who eases the heartbreak.  The two feel not only an instant attraction, but also, a sense of déjà vu, of having met before.  What they find out together is that they were once husband and wife—thousands of years ago.

Kayla is the ancient Nefertiti, a well known and powerful queen of Egypt.  However, Egypt was completely annihilated while under her rule, and the Nile River ran red with the blood of her people.  Nefertiti begged the Gods to take pity on her.  They answered her cries and transported her to the future, as Kayla.

Kayla’s nightmares and visions become more and more vivid, real and troubling—the catalyst is Paolo.  But who is Paolo and how is he linked to her past?  As their relationship evolves, Kayla is faced with a very difficult choice—return to Egypt to save her country or stay with Paolo, the love of her life—this life?

Charline Ratcliff’s mesmerizing tale is filled with likeable and believable characters and powerful visceral imagery.  She expertly captures the mood and feel of two worlds and blends them—the result is masterful storytelling at its finest.
