At first contact with the Kraken, Takaida is defeated, but by grace he is saved by the mermaid who gave him the visions. But her revelations are all the more disturbing. Strong willed and determined, Sarafina battles inner turmoil having broken the laws of her people by telepathically contacting Takaida.

Sarafina’s people have been enslaved and Takaida’s people are in danger of being destroyed because the Kraken has built sonic weapons to bring all land beneath the waves and leave him ruler over the entire world. The weight of the world lies on Takaida’s shoulders as he confronts the Kraken in final battle.
