Giclee print by JOHN ALLSOPP
Artist and publisher John Allsopp from Washington Tyne Wear has donated his original oil on canvas work featuring the Queen Mother to the Prince,s Trust. The trust which was set up by Prince Charles gives free support to Young people who for one reason or another have fallen victim to the no so glamorous side of life, unemployment,trouble with the police into drugs etc.
John saw a need for help at the Gateshead office of the trust and decided to donate his very special highly detailed work, with the intention that the work will be auctioned the proceeds going to the North East area. A limited giclee print is available from John Allsopp's website. Marie Curie cancer care in the North east will receive a donation from the sale of John,s prints. John said his father died with cancer in 1993, it was John,s intention to some day pay back the cancer charities for their palliative care during the last few weeks of his fathers life, a donation from John,s very special work is his answer to this promise.
