Anne Bain, Creator of the Experience Seekers Travel Club
Anne Bain, creator of the Experience Seekers Travel Club has been included in the 2009 Who’s Who of Australian Women. Mrs Bain was nominated for her outstanding contribution to the Australian business and corporate sector.
The Who’s Who of Australian Women 2009 just published, contains the biographies of the nation’s most esteemed women. Since its inaugural 2006 edition the publication has become a public expression of gratitude towards those women who have significantly contributed to the character of Australia.
Mrs Bain, who is the Managing Director of the Gran Emeral Travel Group, said of her inclusion in the book “ I am truly humbled to have been acknowledged and the fact that I have been placed beside other Australian women, many of whom I have admired and looked up to as mentors, has absolutely blown me away.”
The 2009 Who’s Who theme is “lessons we learn” and Mrs Bain, along with the other nominated women, share their experiences and thoughts on all forms of education.
Self education and enabling others to have affordable access to learning is a passion for Mrs Bain. Coincidentally it was just before finding out about her nomination that Mrs Bain, along with her husband, had created their new business, Experience Seekers Travel Club
The unusual business name was explained by Mrs Bain. “My business background is in the travel industry. Research is showing that there is a distinct group of travelers nowadays who are specifically looking for a deeper involvement in the places they visit beyond simply sightseeing. They are known as ‘experience seekers’. However it is not just the travel that people seek to experience. Experience seekers are also people who want to build their understanding of the world through self education and exposure to ideas from influential and successful people in business and society. These successful people are great role models, teachers and mentors for those of us striving to have a better, more fulsome life, and the Experience Seekers Travel Club is the vehicle which brings all of these important aspects including travel together.”
