RoboCubs

This workshop aims to provide a technical platform for the young minds so as to smoothen their journey in the field of robotics. It basically consists of basic fundamentals and practical concepts of basic electronics, basic mechanics, robotics and its various applications.

Who should attend?

School students from grade 7th to 12th from State/ICSE/CBSE/IB and other international boards.

What would you learn?

•   Basic electronic components
•   Their working principle with practical implementation
•   Basics of Robotics
•   The mechanism behind the robots
•   Making your own automated robot with an electronic brain and electromechanical muscles

Apart from this students will also learn the following skill sets:
•   Encourage creative and lateral thinking.
•   Help to generate new ideas.
•   Give fresh prospective and new insights.
•   Encourage experimenting with objects and new ideas.
•   Create interest in the field of science and technology.
•   Encourage students to work in team and do multi-tasking.
DETAILED COURSE CONTENT:

10 Robots built during the workshop are:

•   Wireless remote controlled robot-
A simple robot that can be controlled using wireless remote control, exploring students to the field of communication.

•   Line follower robot-
Robot that will follow a line of particular colour.

•   Obstacle avoider robot-
Robot that will sense an obstacle and will divert its path left, right or backward to avoid that obstacle.

•   Object follower robot-
Robot that will sense an object and will follow that object.

•   Photophobic robot-
Robot that will sense the beam of light and will move away from it.

•   Phototropic robot-
Robot that will sense the beam of light and will move in the direction of light.

•   Wall Follower-
Robot that will move besides the wall and follow the path along the wall. It will change its direction and continue following the walls even at the corners.

•   Fire fighter robot-
Robot that will sense the flame of fire (fire as small as flame of candle) and will stop at its position to buzz an alarm.

•   2 wheel self balancing robot-
Robot that will balance on 2-wheels by simply sensing its distance from the floor.

•   Sumo Wrestling Robot-
A robot that will try pushing another robot out of the ring and at the same time it will try and resist itself from moving out of the ring.
