CMC Government Services is Awarded GSA Contract to Supply GeoTel Telecom Infrastructure Data

April 3, 2009 - PRLog -- CMC Government Services, Inc, a leading provider of Business and GIS Software and Data Products, announced today that it has been awarded an Information Technology Schedule 70 Contract by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA).  This five-year contract streamlines the ability of the Federal Government and all other government entities who utilized GSA for purchasing.

Telecommunications infrastructure datasets from GeoTel Communications, Inc. are included as products on the new Schedule 70 Contract.  GeoTel’s Telecom products and data used in GIS applications can give insight into growth, protection, and security.  Governments will find GeoTel data very useful in Economic Development, regulatory situations, Urban Planning, infrastructure protection and Homeland Security.  

The GeoTel Connect Dataset, which is often referred to as fiber “lit” buildings, shows which carriers have a fiber presence or have optical switches connected to a fiber loop inside a building.  GeoTel MetroFiber Dataset which contains metro fiber routes for cities in the United States and can be layered on street files for enhanced study.  Additional products are also available.
