For companies that own new or used forklift trucks, Barloworld has launched a new service package called ‘Truckserve’, designed to meet the operational needs and legislative requirements of the current and future UK industrial climate.

Barloworld’s Truckserve programme consists of two levels of service, so that customers can select the level of care according to operational needs and budget.  The ‘Truckserve’ and ‘Truckserve Plus’ agreements both offer a scheduled programme of maintenance to minimise costly unforeseen repairs and unproductive downtime, and are available for any truck type or make.

The standard Truckserve programme is designed for forklift trucks that are used less frequently, or for less intensive operations, to ensure that the fleet is always available when needed.  It consists of a comprehensive tailored service plan, annual brake inspection, truck condition report, tyre survey and 24 hour breakdown cover, which includes same day response.

Truckserve Plus is designed to cater for more intensive operations where lift trucks are critical to the business process.  In addition to the standard package, Truckserve Plus includes a maximum 4 hour service response, annual ‘Thorough Examinations’ to ensure companies meet their legal obligations under LOLER regulations, a battery topping up service and annual anti freeze replacement.  A planned equipment performance review is also included together with driver training assessments and customers receive discounts on short term hire equipment to boost capacity during peak periods.
