Association for Women In Communication (South Florida) Appoints Alina Balean to Board of Directors

Alina Balean, owner of ADSUCH, has been appointed as multimedia chair of the Board of Directors of the Association for Women in Communications South Florida Chapter (AWC).

PR Log (Press Release)Apr 02, 2009 – MIAMI, FLORIDA – Alina Balean, owner of ADSUCH, has been appointed as multimedia chair of the Board of Directors of the Association for Women in Communications South Florida Chapter (AWC).  

As the newly appointed multimedia chair, Ms. Balean will manage the AWC brand online, including directing the website and the AWC’s social media presence on networks such as Twitter, Facebook, Digg, and LinkedIn.

“For organizations like the AWC, social media is a critical tool for raising awareness of our services and events, communicating with our constituents, and expanding our members’ professional networks.  We appointed Alina as our multimedia chair because of her skill in crafting and managing brands as well as her extensive experience orchestrating social media campaigns,” commented Tonya Scholz, AWC South Florida president.  “I’m confident that with her on board, the AWC will be able to serve our members by extending our outreach through today’s communication channels even further.”  

In addition to leading ADSUCH, a design and branding firm, Ms. Balean creates graphic designs for a nonprofit organization located in Coral Gables.  Originally from Romania, Ms. Balean graduated from Florida International University with a degree in Advertising.  She previously worked with Balisteri Realty and interned at Crispin Porter + Bogusky.   She is a longtime AWC supporter and has been involved with the organization since college.
