April 2, 2009 - PRLog -- Bethesda, MD  — Sherry Mirshahi, President of Interview Roadmap, provided timely advice on the errors entry-level job candidates make when looking for jobs in an article on April 1, 2009 which appeared in  The Examiner online entitled, “Biggest Job Hunting Mistakes Entry-Level Candidates Make.”  In the article, Ms. Mirshahi, who is resume expert and certified employment interview consultant, shares several key blunders that some first-time applicants commit and the ways to avoid them.  In such a challenging economy, such advice is greatly needed.  “Right now, those graduating college need to sell themselves more so now than ever before both on paper and in person to get the interview,” states Ms. Mirshahi.  “It is critical that they know what they shouldn’t say or do because employers are becoming even more selective.” In the article, Sherry explains that new jobseekers “fail to formulate accomplishment-oriented interview answers,” “aren’t providing a portfolio,” and “aren’t formulating interview answers in a way that express what they can do for the employer.” Sherry’s advice is already receiving excellent reviews.  One jobseeker stated that the information provided by Sherry was “especially helpful,” and that there was “great advice” in the article.  Ms. Mirshahi provides such advice in her consulting sessions with her clients and says that preparing and interviewing for a job takes practice.  She explains that as you grow in your field, “you learn what works for your industry, and what you need to do to make a great impression.”
