ComGuard FZ-LLC announced that Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, has received a top award from the independent test lab AV-Comparatives for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009.
In February 2009, AV-Comparatives, the respected Austrian antivirus test lab, performed yet another series of tests on 17 popular antivirus products that demonstrated sufficiently high results during preliminary testing.
The antivirus products were evaluated on criteria such as detection level and number of false positives. Over 1.3 million malicious programs including Trojans, worms, viruses and malicious scripts collected from a variety of sources over the preceding nine months were used during testing to evaluate detection level. Testing for false positives was conducted using a collection of ‘clean’ files.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 was awarded AV-Comparatives’
Apart from Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009, only three other solutions were awarded the Advanced+ award.
