The responses from crowds who have seen the group already have been overwhelmingly positive. Fans of Led Zeppelin are traveling considerable distances to see this new up and coming act from Northern New Jersey recreate the timeless sounds that everyone grew up on. The raw energy of their performances has a familiarity and appeal with Zeppelin fans looking for something right in their own backyard with the same passion that the music was founded upon.
Don’t expect to see wigs and outfits. This band is all about the music, developing musical montages to take audiences in new directions with each new performance. Inside of six months the band has compiled more than half the repertoire of Led Zeppelin and is working to complete every album in its entirety which they hope to bring to audiences as part of a special performance series.
There is a strong sense of community with Zep fans with a common thread of memories and experiences that bring them together under one roof. Connecting with audiences has been a rewarding part of the performance experience for the members of Custard Pie. Reliving moments vicariously through Custard Pie’s performances, people openly share their experiences and continue to express feelings of being part of something special. There are always new faces at every show and an excitement in the air that has had a viral effect on word-of-mouth.
