Please join us at the Ukrainian National Museum for "Stalin, Roosevelt, Hollywood and Ukrainian Americans" this Saturday, April 4, 2009. A fascinating presentation by immigration historian Dr. Myron B. Kuropas on the role played by Hollywood in glorifying the Soviet Union during the1940s. Portions of the pro-soviet Hollywood film The North Star will be included in the presentation. An era of American history that has evaded many Americans and Ukrainians.
The museum is located at 2249 W. Superior Street, Chicago, IL. The presentation will begin on Saturday, April 4th, 2009 at 6:00 pm. Admission to the museum is $5. The museum is handicapped accessible and has its own parking lot, just east of the main entrance.
