March, 2009 – The International Nanny Association (INA) asks all in-home child care providers to come together for children during the Week of the Young Child (April 19-25, 2009).
In celebration of the national Week of the Young Child, during its 24th annual INA conference, to be held April 23-26 in Dallas, Texas, INA will be honoring young children and all those who make a difference in children’s lives.
“All young children need and deserve high-quality early learning experiences that will prepare them for life, and INA has a great opportunity to do our part to help young children,” said Susan Tokayer, Co-President of INA. “Week of the Young Child is time to recognize the importance of early learning for all young children, and to bring in-home child care providers together to help give all young children a great start.”
Week of the Young Child, sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), is an opportunity for early childhood educators across the country, including in-home child care providers, to hold activities to bring awareness to the needs of young children.
Members of the International Nanny Association are early childhood professionals working together to improve professional practice and working conditions in the in-home child care industry and to build public support for high-quality in-home child care.
In addition to INA’s Week of the Young Child celebration, the 24th annual INA conference is set to include 3 days of information-
o Dallas based Emmy winning news anchor and reporter, Jeff Crilly
o Nationally renowned Media Mom and The Family Coach Dr. Lynne Kenney
o Dallas based best-selling author and founder of Positive Life Principles, Karol Ladd
