Baltimore, MD – Casey Cares Foundation is looking for artistic individuals to design and create PJs for its participation in Baltimore Fashion Week. The Casey Cares Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides uplifting programs with a special touch to critically ill children and their families.
Baltimore Fashion Week and Casey Cares Foundation are in search of a designer to create a PJ line for its critically ill children. The collection can be designed for children and adults. The chosen designer selected to create the signature PJ collection will be a part of the upcoming Baltimore fashion showcase – Baltimore Fashion Week, scheduled for Monday, August 10, 2009 through Friday, August 14, 2009 at the historical War Memorial Building. The chosen collection will be showcased on Friday, August 14, 2009 during Baltimore Fashion Week’s finale showcasing presentation entitled – A Fashion Dream Comes True.
• At least three (3) sketches must be submitted in order to be considered;
• A professional resume must also be submitted;
• All sketches must include size of PJ and whether for a boy or girl;
• All designs must be two piece;
• Notations must include the type of material used;
• Must include the age range the PJ collection is designed for;
• Must be able to produce at least 10 garments in time for fashion week and the schedule day for the presentation, which is Friday, August 14, 2009;
• The decision for the designer will be made by Sunday, May 31, 2009; and
• Any interested designer should submit at least three sketches to Baltimore Fashion Week – P.O. Box 29523 – Baltimore, MD 21216 or emailed to designerinfo@
• Please note sketches WILL NOT BE RETURNED and will remain the property of Baltimore Fashion Week.
After being debuted during Baltimore Fashion Week, the pajama design will be created for Kami’s Jammies, a program of the Casey Cares Foundation. Kami’s Jammies presents new sleepwear and themed pajama parties to pediatric patients during their extended hospital stays. Inspired in memory of a Casey Cares child, Kami’s Jammies helps children feel more at home in an otherwise sterile environment.
